FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: combined cooling tower includes housing in the form of stack with air inlet openings in lower part, water catching device, water storage basin arranged under cooling tower housing, water distributing system with spraying atomisers the outlet holes of which are directed upwards, spraying device, spraying atomisers, for example of evolvent type, are located at the distance of (0.1÷1.0)×h from the top of spraying device, where h - height of spraying device; at that, water head before spraying atomiser is within the range of 0.2÷1.0 atm; reverse water supply system has separate hydraulic circuits for water preparation and consumption; at that, in lower part of housing of cooling towers there located are at least two water collection tanks which are connected to each other by means of a compensation pipe, thus ensuring hydraulic independence of circuits of working water preparation and its consumption; at that, one tank is connected to the pump which supplies the water cooled in the cooling tower to the consumer, which is then again supplied through the valve via the pipeline to the second tank from which the heated water is supplied by means of a pump through filter and valve via pipeline to the header with atomisers arranged in upper part of cooling tower housing, and in the section between filter and valve there installed is monitoring system of hydraulic resistance of the filter, which consists of pressure gauge and valve.
EFFECT: improving the use efficiency of secondary power resources by increasing the value of active area of cooling tower without increasing the aerodynamic resistance.
