SUBSTANCE: method of generating high-frequency signals for relay phase differential protection of overhead power transmission lines involves comparing power current phases at ends of the protected line, generating a single-frequency amplitude shift-keyed signal, transmission and reception thereof over a high-frequency communication channel formed by wires of the overhead transmission line, as well as processing the signal upon reception, wherein the dependency of duration of the high-frequency pulses of the relay protection signal from the value of input shift-keying voltage is eliminated; symmetrical overlapping of pulses of the relay protection signal is generated at the receiving side using the in-house transmitter control signal and the in-house transmitter signal is corrected at reception.
EFFECT: high reliability of the system for transmitting relay protection signals.
