FIELD: electric power industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the field of electric power engineering, in particular to relay protection of cable-overhead power transmission lines of 35-750 kV, and can be used for interfacing of relay protection signals passing through different transmission media: high-frequency signal (HF) over a phase conductor of the line and a digital signal over a fibre-optic communication line (FOCL). A device for interfacing relay protection signals passing through different transmission media when setting up a hybrid communication channel on cable-overhead lines of 35 kV and higher, placed between two semi-sets of relay protection equipment located at the ends of the cable-overhead lines near the boundary of transition of protection signal transmission media, and namely overhead line to cable. Relay protection signals interfacing device is a converter with high-frequency and optical interfaces interconnected with the corresponding semi-set of relay protection equipment, and equipped with a power supply, a connection filter and a connection capacitor, through which it is connected to an overhead line.

EFFECT: higher reliability and fault tolerance.
