FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of measuring temperature in which a fragment of a radiating surface from the same material as the monitored surface is inserted into an self-contained thermal source. Temperature of the monitored surface is measured from heat radiation. Heat radiation from the monitored surface and from the self-contained thermal source is picked up in turns while varying temperature of the identical surface of the self-contained thermal source. The variable component is brought to zero at the output of the radiation indicator and temperature of the monitored surface is equated with temperature of the identical surface of the self-contained thermal source.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring temperature of a monitored object.
