FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: nanosensor of metal ions and hydrogen in aqueous solutions has semiconductor nanocrystals (quantum dots, QD) bonded through coordination bonds with molecules of an organic dye into a complex in which there is no natural luminescence of QD. Complexes of QD and molecules of the organic dye, together with a nonpolar solvent, are fed into micropores of a hydrophobic porous material, and the analysed aqueous solution must be in direct contact with the outer surface of the hydrophobic porous material or in its pores. If the detected ions are present in the aqueous medium, dye molecules form complexes with those ions, giving rise to QD luminescence.

EFFECT: high sensitivity and rate of detecting metal ions and hydrogen in aqueous solutions.
