FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: temperature measuring apparatus has a base, a cover and glass fibres on which there is a sample onto which a thermocouple is glued. A carbon resistance thermometer is placed in a hole in the base. A heater is wound on the outer surface of the cover. A calorimeter thermocouple is buried on one side of the top cover and on the other side of the cover there is a calorimeter holder tube inside of which wires pass. Above the window in the cover there is a light guide which runs to the calorimeter along the tube together with lead wires. The method of determining thermal properties, involving measurement of temperature, is characterised by that heat capacity and heat conductivity are measured simultaneously. Heat conductivity is determined from the product of heat capacity and temperature conductivity which is calculated using an original formula.
EFFECT: possibility of simultaneous measurement of heat capacity and temperature conductivity and determining heat conductivity from the product thereof.
