FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: multi-element thermal to electric energy alkali metal thermoelectric converter (AMTEC) contains a gas-regulated heat pipe (GRHP) with sodium and an inert gas, the pipe adiabatic zone connected, via nipples, to the hot part of all the AMTEC elements volumes while the GRHP evaporation zone is connected, via a nipple, to the condensation zone of the cold part of all the AMTEC elements.
EFFECT: enhanced stability of output electric parameters and the generator service life extension due to usage of the operational peculiarities of gas-regulated heat pipes integrated into the converter design in a certain way.
