SUBSTANCE: thermal to electric energy alkali metal thermoelectric converter contains solid electrolyte represented by oriented pyrolytic graphite intercalated with an alkali metal the C-axis whereof is perpendicular to the graphite layers and simultaneously serves as one of the electrodes, the second electrode made of metal with an bare surface and located close to the solid electrolyte n the cold area while the working body is represented by alkali metals: cesium, rubidium and potassium.
EFFECT: thermoelectric converter service life extension, improvement of its output electric parameters due to the electrodes and the solid electrolyte materials and design.
