FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance with the method for control of DC electric motor excitation flux the preset magnitude of the thyristor converter rectified EMP is reduced by a preset value. Reduction of the preset magnitude of the thyristor converter rectified EMP is performed at the moment of supply of a signal for acceleration of the electric motor under load. Upon expiry of the electric motor current transient process time (determined from the relation t3=t0+a2 Tt where a is the ratio of the speed and current loops time constants, Tt is the current loop time constant) the rectified EMP magnitude is increased to the rated level.
EFFECT: ensuring the minimum possible margin of the thyristor converter rectified EMP alongside with preservation of high dynamic properties and reliability indices of the electric motor and a high power factor in the stabilised mode of on-load operation.
