FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology, and aims at treating pus intralamellar corneal and scleral abscesses following phacoemulsification. It involves incision and excision of pathologically changed conjunctival regions within a tunnel incision through a conjunctival scleral incision, and corneal region within healthy tissues. A resection zone is irrigated with an antibiotic solution. A formed defect is replaced by the donor's corneal or corneo-scleral flap. A surgical region is covered with a mobilised conjunctiva. If observing a necrotised iris, iridectomy is performed Anterior and posterior synechiae are to be separated.
EFFECT: method provides reduction of the local latent inflammatory process for the first postoperative weeks, as well as prevents developing endophthalmitis and enables vision preservation.
