FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed device comprises casting mould 1, melt feeding means 6, at least two electromagnetic inductors 3, 4 arranged in symmetry relative to vertical plane of symmetry of ingot 7. Every inductor can induce, at least, two electromagnetic fields on different frequencies travelling in opposite directions along ingot drawing direction to envelope entire liquid core. Inductor induces electromagnetic field with increasing magnetic induction over liquid core depth as casting mould moves off to core bottom or magnetic induction increasing along inductor over liquid core depth to linear, power or exponential dependence. Inductor can induce electromagnetic fields with frequency decreasing over liquid core depth as casting mould moves toward core bottom.

EFFECT: better processing properties on ingot, faster freezing.
