FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment used for determination of mutual displacement of gear wheels of railroad transport wheel pairs. The appliance contains frame with supports. The supports are mounted at lateral sides of track. Wheel pair axle is mounted in centring devices with possibility to turn wheel pair and to fix its position. The frame is equipped with one or two metering devices made capable to be moved in parallel with wheel pair axle with its position fixation to measure angular position of gear wheels teeth in cross-sectional plane of wheel pair at distance from inner heel ends of gear wheels relative to each other and to determine geometrical sizes of wheel pair structural elements in the plane of moving direction of metering devices and wheel pair axle when it is turned.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher measurement accuracy and reliability of gears operation.
