METHOD OF MOUNTING RAILWAY WHEEL PAIRS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC B23P19/27 B23P19/10 

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: in assembling wheel pair axle is arranged on the frame of appliance with measuring teeth and fastened in prisms by clamps. Temporary bushes are fitted on axle box bearings bearing journal seats for run wheels with toothed wheels fitted thereon to be mounted thereon. Measuring teeth are extended and hydraulic press is used to squeeze inner face of toothed wheels axially toward basic faces of measuring teeth and to arranged them between teeth of toothed wheels. Then hydraulic press is displaced to press-fit run wheels with toothed wheels and set them axially on the axle by limiting axle faces displacement with the help of rigid thrusts of hydraulic press. Measuring teeth are used to properly orient measuring wheel teeth over entire length of their displacement.

EFFECT: reduced labor input, higher accuracy of mounting, efficient use of mounting equipment.
