FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to hardening bores by flaring. Billet is revolved. Tool reciprocates for lengthwise feed. Tool with mandrel is used provided with balls fitted in groove. The latter represents endless loop made up of two screw branches of opposite directions. Every said branch features length equal to one pitch. Loop first branch end is connected with start of second branch intended for balls return. At the intersection of aforesaid branches, deforming elements return via return channel drilled in mandrel body under first branch.
EFFECT: expanded processing performances, higher quality and efficiency.
