FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: rolling contains mandrel with deforming elements in form of balls, and supporting flange. The mandrel is hollow with central longitudinal hole and possibility of application to it of the periodic pulse load using the hydraulic cylinder. A plunger of the static load hydraulic cylinder is installed in the longitudinal hole of the mandrel. The deforming elements are made with diameter not exceeding the diameter of rolling element of the thrust bearing for which the race is manufactured, in quantity not exceeding number of the rolling elements of the specified thrust bearing, and they are installed in recess holes uniformly located at the mandrel end projecting above the mandrel end surface by at least depth of the rolled raceway. The supporting flange is installed with the possibility of rotation relatively to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel using the journal bearing in the fixed foundation, and is made with possibility of the mandrel securing and its rotation using the plunger of the static load hydraulic cylinder having screw splines located in the spline opening of the supporting flange. A helical coil compression spring is installed between the end face of the hollow mandrel and the supporting flange.

EFFECT: expanded manufacturing capabilities, increased depth of strengthened layer and reduced height of microroughnesses on the machined surface.
