SUBSTANCE: invention relates to percussion tools. Proposed chuck comprises clamp ring 23 retained in front position together with control sleeve 22 by guide washer 24 to be displaced by volute spring 25. On fitting drill 8 in chuck, its rear end acts on two balls 27 rolling backward due to contact with drill rear end to be forced in between clamp ring 23 and guide washer 24. Balls may be driven from holder 8 in position whereat clamp ring 23 is retained in front position due to inclination of guide washer 24.
EFFECT: reliable joint on drill, ease of use.
