FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Optic coherent tomography or ultrasonic biometry is performed, transverse section of anterior eye segment is carried out. Length of chord which represents segment of straight line, connecting two points of anterior or posterior cornea surface on the boundary with limb is measured in order to determine radius of patient's cornea or on the boundary of cornea transplant edges in order to determine radius of donor cornea curvature. Also measured is length of segment arrow which is a perpendicular, reconstructed from the middle of chord to intersection with measured surface of corneas or transplant. Curvature radius is calculated by formula: R=D2/8h+h/2, where R is radius of cornea curvature, D is chord length, h is length of chord arrow.
EFFECT: application of invention provides possibility of calculating radius of curvature of both anterior and posterior cornea surface in conditions of loss of cornea transparence, as well as after carrying out keratorefractive operations to obtain curvature radius of both biolens and recipient's own cornea.
