SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for water-emulsion polymerisation of fluorinated monomers for synthesis of fluorine-containing polymers. Described is a method of producing a fluorine-containing polymer, involving polymerisation in a water emulsion of one or more fluorinated monomers in the presence of a perfluorinated ether as an emulsifying agent, where the said perfluorinated ether has formula (I): R_f-o-CF₂CF₂-X (I), where R_f is a straight or branched perfluoroalkylene group containing 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms and X is a carboxylic acid group or salt thereof. Described also is an aqueous dispersion containing a fluorine-containing polymer and a perfluorinated ether of formula (I), where R_f is a straight or branched perfluorinated group containing 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms and X is a carboxylic acid group or salt thereof. Described is a method which involves depositing coatings or saturating a substrate with said aqueous dispersion.

EFFECT: use of emulsifying agent having low toxicity and having zero level of bioaccumulation.
