FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: drink blend is prepared by mixing alcohol distillates maintained in contact with oak wood with softened water and sugar in two stages. At the first stage one mixes the components in an amount ensuring the required conditions in terms of sugar content in the ready blend. This mixture is saturated with oxygen up to 20-40 mg/dm3, tannin is introduced in an amount of 50-130 mg/dm3, the mixture is maintained for 24-48 hours, treated with protein sorbent in an amount of 30-80% of the added tannin, maintained till complete clarification, racked off and filtered. The mixture is heated up to a temperature equal to 60-75°C and treated with heat at this temperature for 2-5 hours. At the second stage the mixture of distillates and sugar, after heat treatment at the heating temperature, is introduced into softened water preliminarily cooled down to 2-15°C until the required conditions of alcohol content are obtained. Then the ready blend is maintained until oxygen is fully bound, filtered and delivered for post-blending rest. Sugar is represented by sugar syrup or sugar dye and sugar syrup. The protein sorbent is represented by gelatine or fish glue or albumin or their combination. The alcohol distillates are represented by cognac or wine or fruit or grain distillates.
