FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: safety device comprises an actuating mechanism arranged as capable of engagement with mechanical parts of firearms to prevent and/or permit its action and a control unit. The control unit is functionally connected to the actuating mechanism. The control unit comprises a transceiving device, interacting with an external certification facility driven by an authorised user to exchange signals with the transceiving device for coded remote control of the actuating mechanism. The actuating mechanism comprises an electric motor with a shaft, functionally connected with the control unit, and a cap sliding inside the firearms and engaged with mechanical parts of firearms. The actuating mechanism also comprises accessories to convert the movement connected with the motor and the cap, which transforms the rotary movement from the motor into progressive movement of the cap. Driving a motor provides for reciprocal movement of the cap, making it possible for the cap to engage or disengage with mechanical parts of firearms. An accessory to convert movement comprises a worm screw fixed on the shaft, a worm and an elastic element. The worm comprises the first and second half of the worm bushing, placed inside the cavity formed inside the cap. The first and second half of the worm bushing are located next to each other, and between them there is a threaded channel, inside of which the specified worm screw is installed. The elastic element is located between the inner wall of the cap and the second half of the worm bushing. The remote control system comprises a safety device, one or more local transceiving units and a control device. The control device comprises the first transceiving device for communication with the local transceiving unit.

EFFECT: higher safety of using firearms only for authorised users.
