FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: values are measured (phased or linear) and phase angles of voltages and currents of all transformer windings in different loading (symmetrical and asymmetrical) modes. By measured values, through solving an equation to determine a group of transformer winding connection, a number of transformer winding connection group is identified. Analysing availability of zero sequence components and the produced group number, the circuit of transformer winding connection is identified.
EFFECT: detection of a group and circuit of transformer winding connection by parameters of symmetrical and asymmetrical modes of transformer operation without its disconnection from a grid.
