FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring values and phase angles of voltages and currents in all transformer windings in two operation modes, recording measured currents and voltage drop values, selecting the first harmonic component of the recorded currents and voltages in windings, determining symmetric components of received currents and voltages. Short-circuit resistance Zk and loss Pk, idle running current I0 and loss P0, active and inductive resistances of each winding are determined. Transformation coefficient K is calculated. Resistance of zero sequence is determined from asymmetric operation mode parameters. The values of Zk, Z0, Pk, I0 and P0, exceeding some reference values, technical condition and working capacity of transformer is diagnosed.
EFFECT: wide range of functional applications; low cost; high reliability.
