FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pulmonology, and can be used in course of treating patients with pneumonias. For this purpose level of consciousness is determined, arterial pulse is analysed, arterial pressure is measured, presence of dyspnea and degree of cyanosis expression are determined, peripheral blood is tested, body temperature is measured and presence of pneumonia complications is determined. If patient's consciousness is clear, pulse frequency is to 90 per minute, arterial pressure is normal (systolic arterial pressure is >110 mm Hg, diastolic arterial pressure is ≥ 60 mm Hg), respiratory rate at rest is from 16 to 20 per minute, cyanosis is absent, leukocytosis is to 10×109/l, body temperature is to 38°C and disease complications are absent, conclusion about light degree of pneumonia severity is made. If patient has clear consciousness or light euphoria, pulse rate is to 100 per minute, arterial pressure is lower (systolic arterial pressure is <110 mm Hg, diastolic arterial pressure is < 60 mm Hg), respiratory rate at rest is from 20 to 30 per minute, acrocyanosis is present with localisation of cyanosis under nails of fingers, on the nose tip and lips, leukocytosis is from 10 to 20×109/l with shift of leukocyte formula to the left, body temperature is from 38 to 39°C and with acute respiratory failure of I degree and/or exudative pleurisy with effusion to 200 ml are present, conclusion about medium degree of pneumonia severity is made. If in patient mental confusion, delirium are present, pulse rate is higher than 100 per minute, collapse (systolic arterial pressure is ≤ 90 mm Hg, diastolic arterial pressure is ≤ 50 mm Hg) is present, respiratory rate at rest is higher than 30 per minute, diffused cyanosis of intensive tint, leukocytosis higher than 20×109/l or leucopenia (lower than 4×109/l), toxic granulosity are present, body temperature is higher than 39°C and there are two or more complications of the disease, it is concluded that pneumonia severity is of severe degree.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to ensure maximal unification of estimation of degree of pneumonia severity due to determination of the most self-descriptive parameters of disease course in definite sequence in any conditions of health-care institution equipment and with great number of hospitalised patients.
