FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modification of crane structures. New beams are made for lengthwise launching. Said beams represent three-span beams with top chord made up of two symmetric box channels rigidly jointed with wall by alloyed studs with guaranteed interference and rails secured thereon coaxially. Traveler ceiling crab is equipped with hydraulic jacks and ties for suspension of said beams. Old beam bottom chords are furnished with outrigger shores extending inside shop by width of new beams. Mounting hole is made in headwall at the level of old beam end marks to mount guide beam for feeding new beams from outside the shop. Slidable pads from, for example, PVC, are fitted on said hole. New beam is fed on guide beam to drive its end via mounting hole into shop. Said end is suspended to ceiling crab using hydraulic jacks by rigid horizontal coupling. Beam is transferred into shop over its entire length and lowered on support brackets secured to old beam bottom chords. Beam end is detached from traveler to be moved to center of gravity of new beam. New beam is suspended to crossbar resting on plungers of two hydraulic jacks arranged on ceiling crab and carried to mounting position. New beam front end is jointed with old beam butt. Ceiling crab is displaced to eliminate the clearance between three old beams and new beam to lower the latter by hydraulic jacks on support brackets and joint it with said brackets and old beam top chord. All suspensions are disconnected to displace traveler for another new beam.
EFFECT: mechanised replacement of faulty beams.
