SUBSTANCE: iron, comprising a housing (1) connected with a cord (3), such as power supply cord, and containing the device (5) of direction of the cord, giving the cord (3) the priority direction of the housing output. The said device (5) of direction of the cord is pivotally connected to the housing and can move between the inoperative position in which the device (5) of direction of the cord is adjacent to the housing of iron, and the working position in which the device (5) of direction of the cord moves away from the iron. Iron has a magnetic means (7) creating force tending to hold the device (5) of direction of the cord in the inoperative position, made in the form of a magnet that interacts with ferromagnetic element for keeping the device of direction of the cord in the inoperative position.
