FIELD: domestic equipment. SUBSTANCE: ironing machine has housing, resilient supporting ironing surface formed as calender 3 mounted on supporting frame 8 for rotation, ironing heated surface connected by joining unit 33 with reciprocating mechanism, mechanism for biasing ironing heated surface to resilient supporting surface and control foot pedal unit 45-47. Ironing machine is further provided with drive for rotating calender 3 from electric engine 2. Housing is formed as pedestal with foldable front wall 1. Guides 31 are positioned on inner surface of wall 1 and supports 21 are fixed on its outer surface so that position of supports 21 in vertical plane may be adjusted. Frame 8 with calender 3 is mounted within housing for movement along guides 31 to extended position. Ironing heated surface is positioned within housing above calender 3. Calender rotation drive shaft and reciprocating mechanism are made telescopic. Ironing heated surface may be extended from housing and disconnected from reciprocating mechanism, when this ironing surface is to be replaced by ironing surface having other ironing area.
