SUBSTANCE: device includes: a user interface which shows a flow diagram of a predetermined multi-step process for providing medical service to a patient or medical investigation object; a module for identifying, in said multi-step process of providing medical service; the current step for providing medical assistance to said patient or medical investigation object based on said displayed flow diagram; a module for retrieval from the data base, based on the identified current step, of clinical information obtained during investigation and/or treatment of said patient or medical investigation object, which is relevant for making a decision on providing medical assistance to said patient or medical investigation object on said identified current step; and a module for displaying said retrieved information, simultaneously with new information to be displayed, on a screen image next to the initial screen image, in the template of said user interface displayed on the screen, automatically and without user involvement.

EFFECT: shorter time for making medical decisions, minimisation of the percentage of medical errors through an apparatus for assisting in making medical decisions during medical service.
