FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in grinding twist drills at grinders. Proposed device comprising grinding wheel includes base plate turning to be locked around axis parallel with grinding wheel axis, drill holder and guide element. The latter has rear and front plate turning to be locked with respect to each other. Rear plate is jointed to base plate to displace along grinding wheel axis while front plate incorporates guides to allow holder to slide towards, in fact, grinding wheel and therefrom. Proposed method is implemented using above described tool.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, longer life.
