FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method involves use of a device, equipped with a network interface, associated a network; use of a host agent operating under control of a basic device operating system installed on the device, wherein the host agent has access to the network through the network interface; a monitoring centre is connected to the network which is set up such that it facilitates connection with the host agent and (or) a secondary agent through the network interface; and a secondary agent is used, which is installed on the device and has access to the network through the network interface independently of the basic device operating system, wherein the secondary agent and the host agent coordinate with each other, which of them must access the network through the network interface and transmit to the monitoring centre information on attributes of the computer and (or) basic device operating system.

EFFECT: high fault-tolerance of the communication system.
