METHOD TO DETOX WASTES OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS CONTAMINATED WITH LEWISITE AND PRODUCTS OF ITS TRANSFORMATIONS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC B09B3/00 B09C1/08 A62C3/00

Abstract RU 2460596 C2

FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of destruction of chemical weapons, in particular, to detoxication of wastes of building materials contaminated with lewisite, also γ-lewisite and products of its transformations. The method consists in grinding wastes of building materials to the size of not more than 40 mm and treatment - impregnation with oxidants, with subsequent mixing with a cement mortar and soaking to produce a mechanically strong solid mass. Oxidants are a solution of hydrogen peroxide, which contains hydrogen peroxide in the amount of 0.66% of a sample weight or a solution of chloramine B, in which chloramine B is contained in the amount of 2.0% from a sample weight or a suspension of a chloride lime in water, in which the chloride lime makes 15.0% from a sample weight, and water quantity makes 50% of building materials weight, soaking of construction materials treated with an oxidant within one day, subsequent mixing with a cement mortar.

EFFECT: transformation of lewisite, including γ-lewisite and products of its transformation into a physiologically inactive insoluble and non-volatile form, which is not hazardous for environment.
