FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: air propeller with blades of variable geometry consists of hub, blade end, skin that is not closed along rear edge of profile in order to reduce rigidity of blade circuit for torsion, centrifugal rotation frequency control, root rib, set of typical ribs put on tubular spar in movable manner, set of typical ribs put on torsion bar, and end rib rigidly attached to torsion bar by means of sleeve of end rib and safety shear bolt. Due to movable fitting each of typical ribs can be turned through a certain angle, relative to spar axes or torsion bar axis. Rigidity of torsion bar for torsion has been chosen based on maximum required turn of end rib, at maximum torsion torque applied with control assembly - centrifugal control to skin circuit on the side of end rib, and rigidity of non-closed skin circuit of blade, at which root rib is also set to optimum angle at maximum specified wind velocity, has been chosen.
EFFECT: optimum smooth streamlining of aerofoil profile throughout the length of air propeller blade.
