FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: automated teller machine has a main part which enables to receive or issue paper money; a cassette for holding paper money which slides into or from the main part, wherein one side of the cassette is provided with a cassette clutch for obtaining mechanical energy from the main part; a cassette receiver located in the main part for fitting the cassette and provided with a main part clutch which is connected to the cassette clutch for transferring mechanical energy from the main part to the cassette when the cassette is fit into the cassette receiver; there is a connector on both the main part clutch and the cassette clutch, which enables to superimpose on one axial line, central axes of rotation of the main part clutch and the cassette clutch so as to facilitate connection of the main part clutch and the cassette clutch. Since the disclosed automated teller machine controls the cassette using mechanical energy transferred from the main part of the machine, no separate drive is needed for the operation of the cassette.

EFFECT: possibility of obtaining mechanical energy from the main part of an automated teller machine and using that mechanical energy for operation of the cassette.
