SUBSTANCE: friction element comprises friction lining with working and lateral surfaces secured on metal carcass. Said lining working surface and lateral surface not perpendicular to the former, comprises grooves. Friction lining working surface grooves feature equal depth and are made along arcs of aligned circles misaligned with friction force arc axis. Grooves of lining lateral surface portion are arranged along straight lines tangential to friction force arc.

EFFECT: distribution of surface strains over area of contact between lining and rider and their compensation, longer life.
