FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for detecting leakage of water-steam mixture from a pipeline which is installed in a room provided with an influx of air includes a sensor which records the value of relative humidity in the monitored room, said sensor being connected to an information processing device, wherein the device additionally includes a laser aerosol sensor of submicron dimensions, which records the number concentration and size of aerosol particles, fitted with a sampling tube whose inlet end is installed at the outlet point of air from the monitored room; the output of the laser aerosol sensor is connected to the input of the information processing device, wherein the information processing device additionally includes a unit for comparing the value of the current signal of the laser aerosol sensor with the data base and a unit for calculating correlations between relative humidity values, the number concentration and sizes of the aerosol particles in air in the monitored room, also connected to a signalling unit.
