FIELD: fire-fighting.

SUBSTANCE: method involves performing gas-and-air medium control in limited volume along with following fire-suppression. Said control is carried out by checking relative medium humidity increase. Fire-suppression involves delivering fire-extinguishing aerosol and/or gas in space to be protected as relative medium humidity increases at rate of 5-12 g/m3 per minute. The fire-extinguishing gas is carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen. Fire-prevention system comprises aerosol generator, electric pressure-operated valve adapter to supply aerosol into hopper via supply pipeline, control unit linked to electric pressure-operated valve and electric ignition means included in aerosol generator. Supply pipeline has at least one outlet pipe located inside hopper and provided with perforation orifices. The pipe communicates with hygrometer through additional pipeline. The hygrometer is electrically linked to control unit through transforming unit. Outlet pipe perforation orifices are shielded with conical cowls. Pump with safety valve is installed in additional pipeline between hygrometer and outlet pipe.

EFFECT: increased equipment simplicity, reliability, technological efficiency of fire prevention, extended range of application, decreased equipment costs and measurement time, prevention of stored product or material deterioration.
