FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the housing of an optical radiation source there is one or more identical operating (emitting) channels, in each of which a high-explosive charge is in form of a hollow cylinder which is fitted into the opening of the housing, a plasma-forming substance in form of a hollow tube is put into the cavity of the cylindrical charge, wherein parameters of the source are selected from the relationships and where r is the radius of the inner cavity of the explosive charge, which is equal to the outer radius of the tube of the plasma-forming substance, δ is the thickness of the wall of the hollow cylindrical explosive charge; l is the length of the inner cavity of the explosive charge, which is equal to the length of the tube of the plasma-forming substance; M0 is the mass of the plasma-forming substance; MBB is the mass of the explosive; eBB is the energy density of the explosive (kJ/g); Qsubl is the specific energy of sublimation of the plasma-forming substance (kJ/g).
EFFECT: longer duration of the radiation pulse, generating a pulse with a complex time structure, and broader functional capabilities of the explosive radiation source.
