FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of nanodisperse powders. Proposed method comprises feeding initial metal powder to mix it with primary active gas flow effusing from ejector nozzle, igniting metal-gas mix in forechamber made up of channel with expansion, feeding said mix into main combustion chamber, cooling high-temperature combustion products and collecting nanodisperse powder. Note here that initial metal powder particles are transferred into gas phase by self-sustaining exothermal reaction and condensed from said gas phase. Note here that secondary active gas is fed into main combustion chamber to use vaned swirler for creating toroidal vortex zone therein. Proposed device comprises initial powder bin, ejector with nozzle, mixing chamber, forechamber made up of channel with expansion, main combustion chamber, combustion product cooling channel, and powder collection bin. Vaned swirler is arranged on forechamber front wall. Opening are made in main combustion chamber wall for secondary active gas to be forced therein in transverse direction.
EFFECT: higher process efficiency.
