FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: multi-element cartridge contains a propellent charge, three or more striking elements in the form of feathery pointed bodies located parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cartridge and arranged in groups in the transverse direction. Multi-element cartridge contains a metal, plastic or composite wad. According to the first version the feathery pointed body has a transverse saw cut from the side where the arrow point is shifted. According to the second version the wad has a leading sealing belt that is attached to it with an ability to rotate on the rolling bearing or friction bearing.
EFFECT: increased range, striking ability and armor piercing of the multi-element cartridge.
