FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention that is called Cycloconverter of Voltage Convertor or Current Converter Type refers to semiconductor converters and can be used for transformerless immediate conversion of three-phase alternating voltage to alternating voltage adjustable as to value and frequency. Such converters can be used in alternating voltage generation systems and in frequency control systems of alternating voltage motors. To standard scheme of cycloconverter containing nine AC switches there also introduced are series input filter reactors, switched input filter capacitors, switched output filter capacitors; at that, switched filter capacitors are connected with their second ends to inputs of input and output commutators in diode three-phase bridge rectification circuits, at the outputs of which there fully connected are controlled valves (transistors). Depending on the state of fully controlled valves the switched capacitors are connected to input or output of converter, thus converting it to matrix converter of voltage or current.

EFFECT: output voltage is higher than input voltage; mode of matrix voltage converter in the larger part of control range of output voltage does not add restrictions to its control dynamics.
