FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: reversible converter supplied with power directly from three-phase mains has matching transformer, six bidirectional transistor switches, and two diode-transistor modules, each being made in the form of three-phase diode bridge whose dc terminals are connected to neutral point by means of transistor switch that functions as switching unit for integrating like-polarity secondary windings of transformer. Converter provides for operation in all four quadrants of external characteristics at six-fold ripple frequency.
