FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric arc welding power supply. Proposed power supply incorporates power high-frequency solid-state converter with its first input connected to power source and outputs connected with output voltage transducer and welding current transducer. Control unit comprises welding current setting potentiometer and error amplifier. Power supply comprises also comparator, PDM controller, arc light flux pickup, welding arc power computer and electronic switch. First input of electronic switch is connected with welding current transducer output while its second input is connected with output voltage transducer. Its third input is connected with arc light flux pickup output and its output is connected to welding arc power computer input. Welding arc power computer output is connected with comparator first input while its second input is connected with welding current setting potentiometer output and its output is connected with error amplifier input. Error amplifier output is connected with PDM controller input while its output is connected with high-frequency solid-state converter second input.

EFFECT: high-quality weld joint.
