FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: iron ore is dosed, mixed with a binder, briquetted by method of pressing and dried. At the same time the initial iron ore is sifted into classes of size, and for briquetting a class below 5 mm is used, the binder is sulfuric acid in the quantity of 0.5-5 wt % and Dorzin in the amount of 5-20 ml/t of the charge. Produced briquettes are dried at the temperature of 30-140°C. Prior to sifting the iron ore may be ground to the size of 20 mm. Sulfuric acid is used in a concentration providing for charge moisture of 8-12%.
EFFECT: higher strength properties of briquettes with preservation of high iron content in them.
