FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device for remote ignition of flare gases comprises a high-voltage generator, a DC generator connected to a bipolar electrolytic tank made of a row of separate electrolytic cells isolated from each other and filled by electrolyte containing an aqueous solution of alkaline metal hydroxide, acetic acid and potassium dichromate, a separator connected to the bipolar electrolytic tank, a pressure sensor being an information element of an automatic control system, an electromagnet valve serving an actuating element of this system connected with a high-voltage electric spark gap, and the electric spark gap itself is connected with an ignition line.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of an electrolytic tank, reduced time for a process of gas burner ignition in flares and higher safety of production and hydrocarbon processing activities.
