FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, a master indicator is fed into the apparatus, said indicator having electroconductivity different from that of the stream; the time distribution function of particles of the stream is recorded at the output of the apparatus and further detection of concentration of the indicator at the output of the apparatus is carried out after recording the time distribution function of particles of the stream by feeding an additional indicator, characterised by that the additional indicator used is a substance whose diffusion coefficient in the stream of the liquid is different from that of the master indicator, and from the time-dependence of concentration of the additional indicator and the time distribution function of particles in the stream, the dispersion and Peclet number, which characterise the liquid flow structure, are determined.
EFFECT: high accuracy of physical and mathematical modelling of a hydromechanical process in different apparatus and continuous reactors by using an additional indicator, having molecule diffusion different from that of the first indicator.
