FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: circuit breaker with short circuit fault self-blocking function has a self-blocking mechanism in-built into the breaker and triggering in case of short circuit fault, the self-blocking mechanism includes a self-blocking unit and a recovery unit including a button with a compression spring interacting with a rotating rod or the self-blocking unit lever. In case of short circuit fault the circuit breaker can not be closed immediately after the circuit breaker blocking in case of short circuit fault. This informs the user of short circuit fault occurrence and of the necessity to have the circuit breaker closed after the cause detection and elimination.

EFFECT: prevention of damage to or inflammation of the circuit breaker during its repetitive closure after short circuit fault.
