SUBSTANCE: visitor access terminal (AT) associated with a macro network enters the coverage area of an access point (AP) base station. The method involves allowing registration of the visitor AT at the AP base station and forwarding information regarding the registration to the macro network Upon activation of the visitor AT, communication between the visitor AT and the macro network may be facilitated by forwarding a paging request to the visitor AT through the AP base station.
EFFECT: enabling operation of visitor terminals camped in coverage areas of access point base stations with which these terminals are not associated.
