FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthodontic equipment and is intended for application in treatment of dentofacial anomalies and deformities, expressed in wrong position (dystopia) of teeth. Orthodontic apparatus contains installed on support tooth working element, made of titanium nickelide, demonstrating effect of shape restoration, and connected with it and with support points on teeth threads, made from alloy based on titanium nickelide, demonstrating effect of superelasticity. Working element is made hollow. During device installation, threads, preliminarily passed through cavity of working element, are laid on selected trajectories. Working element is cooled to temperature from 0° to 10° C and deformed by bringing its ends apart, after which it is installed on support tooth by means of preliminarily installed on it clamp. Loose ends of threads, passed through canal of working element, are fixed on its immobile end.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to extend range of achievable transitions without reactivation of apparatus due to the fact that working element is made hollow and threads are passed through its cavity, and effect of shape restoration, characteristic of alloys based on titanium nickelide.
