SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports games and can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of training of a swimmer during the swimmer's training. A method of evaluating the effectiveness of the swimmer's training by measuring speed parameters through the sensor placed on the swimmer. And an ultrasonic sonar transducer is used as a sensor for evaluating the speed of the swimmer. The speed of the swimmer is measured by means of a hydrophone converting sonar signals of aqueous medium pressure into electric tension.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluating the effectiveness of the swimmer's training.
