FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: plant for production of vehicles comprises the following workshops located within a fenced area (10): a forging shop (2), a painting shop (3), an assembly (4) shop, and support zones of functional support grouped in the central part of the fenced area, from which the workshops are extended towards the periphery of the fenced area. Workshop layout is T-shaped. The method to extend the plant for production of vehicles consists in the fact that workshops are extended on the ground in direction to the periphery of the specified fended area on the basis of their previous location. Support zones of functional support remain regrouped in the central area of the fenced area. The wall (MF1) of the forging workshop remains parallel or matched with the first wall (MP1) of the painting shop, and the second wall (MF2) of the forging shop perpendicular to the first wall (MF1) of the forging shop, remains parallel or matched with the wall (MM) of the assembly shop. The second wall (MP2) of the painting shop, perpendicular to the first wall (MP1) of the painting shop, remains parallel or matched with the wall (MM) of the assembly shop.
EFFECT: invention improves plant efficiency.
