FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing magnetosensitive aerosol involves complete evaporation of the liquid phase of magnetite-type ferromagnetic liquid in kerosene with volume concentration of the magnetic phase of 20% in a drying cabinet, after which the obtained residue undergoes mechanical grinding to powdered state and a fine fraction with particle size smaller than 2 mcm is collected, said fraction being suitable for obtaining a sufficiently stable aerosol by blowing with a directed air stream, which results in sputtering of the powder and formation of a magnetic aerosol in the volume of the chamber. A magnetised object covered by a sheet of paper is placed in the top part of the chamber. After a few seconds (1-5), a magnetogram forms on the screen, which shows non-uniformity of the magnetic field on the surface of the analysed object.
EFFECT: aerosol with maximum magnetic moment and small average particle size provides quality and fast formation of magnetograms of analysed objects.
